This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies are, how NucliVision Inc. ("NucliVision", "we", "us", "our") uses them on the nuclivision.co website (the "Site"), and what choices you have regarding their use. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.
We are committed to using only the minimum necessary cookie and local storage technology. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party analytics that build user profiles. This policy explains exactly what we use and why.
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners about how their site is being used.
Cookies can be classified in several ways:
In addition to traditional cookies, modern websites often use browser local storage — a mechanism that stores data as key-value pairs in your browser's storage, rather than in a cookie sent with every HTTP request. Local storage data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to the server with each page load.
NucliVision uses localStorage rather than traditional HTTP cookies for storing consent preferences. This is a more privacy-friendly approach because the data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers with every request. The effect is similar to a persistent preference cookie but with reduced server-side exposure.
NucliVision uses a minimal approach to cookies and local storage. Below is a complete and accurate list of what is stored in your browser when you visit this Site:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
nv_cookie_consent |
localStorage entry | Records that you have acknowledged our cookie notice, so we do not show it on every page load. Stores only the value "accepted" and a timestamp. | Persistent (until manually cleared) | First-party (NucliVision) |
This is the only data storage mechanism NucliVision places on your device through this Site. We do not set any cookies via server-side Set-Cookie headers in normal site operation.
NucliVision explicitly does not use:
We maintain this minimal approach deliberately. NucliVision operates in the healthcare sector and takes user privacy seriously. We believe that a medical technology company should hold itself to a higher standard of data minimization than the typical commercial website.
European Union law (the ePrivacy Directive, implemented through national legislation such as the UK's PECR) requires that website operators obtain user consent before placing non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies on users' devices. Even though our cookie/localStorage usage is minimal, we display a consent notice because:
Once you click "Accept" on our cookie notice, the nv_cookie_consent entry is created in your browser's localStorage. The notice will not appear again during future visits from the same browser on the same device. If you clear your browser's localStorage or visit from a different browser or device, the notice will appear again.
While NucliVision does not embed third-party tracking scripts, some services are involved in the technical operation of our Site:
Our Site is hosted on cloud infrastructure. The hosting provider has access to standard web server access logs, which include IP addresses, request timestamps, and response codes. These logs are retained for infrastructure security purposes. Our hosting provider processes this data under its own privacy policy and our data processing agreement.
When you submit our contact form, the data is processed and transmitted via email. We use a transactional email service to ensure reliable delivery. This service processes the message content and your contact details as part of email delivery. No tracking pixels are embedded in these transactional emails.
We use the Smooth Scroll library (smooth-scroll.polyfills.min.js), served from our own servers, to enable smooth page scrolling behavior. This library does not set cookies, does not transmit data to external servers, and does not collect any user information. It runs purely in your browser for UI enhancement.
Web fonts used on this Site are served from our own domain. We do not use Google Fonts or other third-party font delivery services that could log font requests and associate them with user IP addresses.
If you have accepted our cookie notice and wish to withdraw your consent preference, you can clear the nv_cookie_consent localStorage entry at any time:
nv_cookie_consent → Delete key.nv_cookie_consent → Delete row.nv_cookie_consent → Delete. After clearing the localStorage entry, the cookie consent notice will appear again on your next visit.
Your browser provides controls to manage cookies. Note that because NucliVision uses localStorage rather than HTTP cookies, browser cookie controls may not affect our consent preference storage. To control localStorage:
Blocking localStorage entirely may affect some website functionality, though the impact on NucliVision's Site is limited to the cookie notice reappearing on each visit.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. NucliVision honors DNT signals. If your browser sends a DNT signal, we will not attempt to track your browsing behavior beyond what is strictly necessary for site operation. Since we do not use tracking cookies, our Site behavior does not materially change based on DNT status, but we acknowledge and respect the signal.
We recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing of personal information for California residents under CPRA. Since NucliVision does not sell or share personal information, receipt of a GPC signal does not change our data practices, but we acknowledge users' right to send this signal.
This Cookie Policy applies exclusively to the nuclivision.co website. NucliVision's clinical software products (PET/SPECT image enhancement, dosimetry, and reporting tools) operate within hospital information system networks and do not use browser cookies of any kind. Those products operate as locally installed software within the hospital's PACS/VNA environment and have separate technical specifications and data processing documentation.
Any cookies or tracking technologies used in hospital-deployed clinical software products are governed by the applicable product documentation and the data processing agreements between NucliVision and the healthcare institution customer, not by this Cookie Policy.
Our Site is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through cookies or any other means. If you believe a child has submitted information through our Site, please contact us at [email protected].
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our Site's cookie practices change, as new technologies emerge, or as legal requirements evolve. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever we make changes. If we introduce new types of cookies or tracking technologies that require consent, we will display a new consent notice.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our cookie practices. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy.
